I'm currently in my last stretch of A Levels, and the whole staying-in-my-room-all-day-revising thing has driven me a little mad. So the other day I ventured into town to buy some bits and bobs, and I stumbled upon Simple's 'Mango Goodness' moisturiser.
Now I've been on the hunt for a good day moisturiser for a fair while. I've been using the Benefit 'Total Moisture Facial Cream' for well over a year, and whilst it's a fabulous product lately I've found it a bit heavy for during the day. It leaves my face feeling very greasy and shiny, which is fine for at night but not really what I want in the day. I tend to be a bit wary when buying new skincare products as I have very sensitive skin and I seem to be allergic to so many of the highstreet brands. However, Simple is a brand that I know and love - as I'm sure most of you do too - so when I saw this moisturiser in Boots I had to buy it.
It's a very light moisturiser that leaves your skin feeling incredibly fresh and, as the name 'Radiance Brightening Moisturiser' suggests, nice and bright. It's not too greasy and it absorbs into your skin within minutes, providing a good base for your makeup. It's SPF 10 which is all I need in a face cream, particularly as the sun seems reluctant to make an appearance in England at the moment. Although it's only a small tube, a little bit goes a long way with this so hopefully it should last me a while. Essentially, it's everything you could want from a moisturiser.
My only issue with it would be the smell. I was expecting it to smell quite strongly of mango, but to be honest it smells a bit like artificially flavoured mango sunscreen. However, this is only a tiny complaint - the smell is far from strong.
It was about £7 in Boots - a tad pricey for a small moisturiser but, as I said, it should last me.
Thanks for reading! :)
